Program Overview
The GCW Program offers a comprehensive set of learning opportunities and resources through which high school girls are encouraged to explore, identify and achieve their educational and career goals and aspirations. About 200 students have participated in the program to date. Beginning in 2009, approximately 50 students will participate in the program each year.
What I find really great about GCW is a chance to meet ladies in different careers and be able to get information on how they were able to succeed. GCW Student Participant
The GCW program consists of the following components:
These components are designed to follow a progressive process, wherein one step prepares the students for the next, providing resources and encouragement along the way.
Upon completion of the Retreat, the Elective Course, and the Career Workshops, girls receive a completion certificate and one course credit toward high school graduation.
