Taste of Success - Chelsea Wine Vault
October 21st, 2008
The Girls Career Workshop hosted its 7th annual fall fundraiser benefiting inner-city high school girls at Chelsea Wine Vault in October 2008. Over 150 supporters were treated to a variety of unique wines and wonderful food. The event was sponsored by Eileen Fisher, Chelsea Wine Vault and Cutler. We recognized the achievements of GCW graduate Amada Gonzolez, 18 years, with the first-ever presentation of a college scholarship award by her mentor Dawn Henning.
Whitney Biennial 2008

GCW hosted a select group of 65 women for a private, bespoke tour of the Whitney Biennial 2008. In addition to a tailored tour of significant pieces in the exhibit, the event featured a special introduction on women artists and the role of women in contemporary art by Assistant Curator of the Biennial, and ended with conversation and refreshments in SaraBeth's.Wines by Women - Harlem Vintage
Fall 2007
Girls Career Workshop held our second annual “Wines by Women” cocktail reception and fundraiser in October 2007. The event was generously hosted by Harlem Vintage, a wine shop owned by Jai Jai Greenfield, a long-time GCW supporter and volunteer on our small business panel.
